Posting in case anyone else needs to replace their brick mold. Window Fix has it in polyurethane which is cheaper than wood and easier to install (like Steve mentioned)

Must be finished. It might be polyester resin with flexible fillers. Polyester resin on it’s own would be stiff. Probably better than urethane which is what I think the nc crowd uses.

I do not think there is any one in nyc as all of the lumber yards order from NJ or nc. I see the boxes arriving by ups.

I was going to call Dykes and ask who has the wood brick mold. Isn’t the the flex mold polyurethane? Will that weather well?

Vard. Flex molding that dykes orders from is a company owned by US Stone in NJ. They have two websites for the flex molding and several other businesses. Do not call dykes. Call the office for flex molding in jersey city. You want to speak to victoria or her colleague “chicken little” that’s right.

The product is made for exterior use. Turn around time is fast, same week for custom pour ordered on a monday. Order on a thursday it is out the door on tuesday morning.

There is another outfit in fletcher, nc. Slower and pricier. Much, much slower. Like 2 weeks. I dropped them a decade ago.

The NJ outfit mimics the dykes catalogue but the stock numbers are not the same. So you have to find what you need at dykes and then shuffle through the flex molding catalogue.

Yes and traditional brick mold is out of wood. The Jersey place is for interior molding but others make the exterior one. http://www.flexiblemoulding.com/flexcatalog.pdf I just don’t know who makes it in NY. I guess I can call Dykes and ask, they might know.

The flex mold comes from a place in jersey city. Used to be in newark. So you mean it is like that circle at the front of the extended jambs on many bstones.
