Boiler Replacement Cost

We need to replace our boiler and received a general quote of $12K-$14K. Is this consistent with what other people have paid?

For that price, you should be able to convert from oil to gas, if that is still feasible these days.

Yes. Boiler replacements, done well, cost a big number. Many are installed poorly and cost more in maintenance and operating costs.

Yikes! We occasionally think about replacing our ancient boiler that conservatively dates from the 1940’s and is the size of a Volkswagen but those numbers are scary.

That’s the Cost of doing things properly I guess.

Boiler Replacement costs are very spread out. I have seen some “companies” do a cut and swap for as little as 6K; but those are the boilers that usually have issues in the same season and the “company” no longer responds.
For a full permitted Boiler Replacement and control/piping upgrade I would say that is pretty standard; though if you need upgrades for inspection purposes that can really start to climb.

Eman would know best. I had my combi installed for slightly less. However I purchased the unit. However when I was getting quotes they all said that if I had more zones this naturally would increase the cost. I had multiple zones.
