Bluestone Needed
I’ve come up two pieces short and was hoping this group might steer me to a remnant yard or know of anywhere to get them. Ideally would like 2 pieces at 48 x 18 in. But would take 24 x 18 too. I’ve been told that Old Iron, Architectural salvage store near Lowes might have some?? Thanks!

I got what i needed. If you find something not to size, this stuff is easy to cut with and angle grinder.

Maurice has 2″ thick. 6′ long. Not sure of width.

Ok, maurice has 1″ thick 24″ long pieces. You will have to cut width. I might have to buy a 36″ piece and will have remainder i can cut up and sell. In honesty, i would rather find something closer to my size than have to deal with remnants and cutting.

Also, if you find larger pieces and can cut it good for you. It is easy. Just the right blades.

i will be going to a stone yard this week looking perhaps for blue stone. i know the one yard does not have 48″ product. but 24? (maurice supply)
the largest stone supplier i can think of is Glenwood Supply in Brooklyn. i have never been in their warehouse so i do not know the extent of what they carry but the place is massive.
their is also a place in Long Island city. I forget the name. i only know them as carrying aggregates but i think they have stone as well. right up by the water.
also, i am looking for either slate or bluestone that i can shape into a like 36×7″ saddle. or if the supplier can shape it, even better. if anyone sees this and knows, i would appreciate the direction.
