Bedbug signs

Hi, please someone help me. It is been almost 4 weeks that I am seeing kinds of blood stains on sheets, clothes, etc, my husband says this cannot be a sign of bedbug, I purchased the diatomaceous earth powder and put lots of it around my bed, also bought mattress encasement, also sprayed the bed once. Also, when we first saw the first stains, a professional came and inspected the bed and did not find anything. I put the bedding sheets in the dryer several times so far. We could not see any bedbug or any other sign just some stains. Here are the pics of these stains, can someone help me, please? This has derived me crazy, i cannot sleep well and my life has been disturbed badly. is there anyway to test these stains? If they can be washed easily, does it mean they are not from bedbug? Any help is appreciated! My husband is not involving himself, he says we do not have bedbugs and I am overthinking it/ but I cannot continue like this. Look forward to hearing some tips from you.

The larger stains are not bedbug stains in my opinion (I had bedbugs once, so speaking from some experience.) I don’t know if you can test the stains, but how quickly they wash away is no indication of bedbugs. Usually the stains are died blood stains from bedbugs when they happen to bite a human and you crush over them at night. (Black stains are from bedbug poop. ) Try googling some images and you’ll see yours look to “watery” of stains in some photos.

You’re not going to catch bedbugs via diatomaceous earth powder alone. You will want to get interceptor cups, a plastic dish large enough to contain a bed post — they’re designed in a way to trap the bedbug from going up your bed post and from getting out of the cup. If you trap any in the interceptor cups.. you will know. Unfortunately you have to sleep in the bed and use your body heat as bait for the bedbugs to come out (IF you have them).

I empathize with how you’re feeling. It’s a very maddening situatio n. Just know IF you do happen to have bedbugs, all is not lost! (You don’t have to throw everything away. They can be gotten rid of!)

Could well be clover mites although they prefer a moist environment.

Google “Clover Mites” and see if they may be your problem. They are red mites that can leave a red stain. They are not harmful to humans.

Have you looked for signs of bites on your body? Apparently they tend to go for warm areas like the armpits and groin. There are photos online. However absence of evidence of bites is not proof you don’t have them. Get a 2nd opinion. We thought we had bed bugs once and luckily didn’t, so I understand the stress. Remember too, it ain’t your fault. A bed bug literally fell on me once on the subway — presumably off another passenger’s coat or bag! Thank g*d I spotted it. Good luck!

I know the sort of distress you are under. The whole thinking you have them but not knowing (my husband also didn’t think we had them and didn’t want to get involved).
