Bathroom renovation

Hello all,
We are planning to renovate our bathroom next week. We have been renovating our house as a part of my kid’s first birthday celebration. It’s almost done except the bathroom. The total expense was very high. So we were thinking of upgrading instead of renovating. We saw an article http://www.dispenser.com/blog/organizedbath/10-bathroom-upgrades-you-can-make-without-a-full-renovation/ which had few tips to upgrade the bathroom. Shall We upgrade the bathroom or shall we renovate?? Do you know any bathroom renovation service with minimal expense? Any suggestion regarding this are greatly welcomed. Thank you.

I’d check out better articles than that, which could be summarized as “change anything not bolted down.” Recommending a hands-free toilet (are they talking Toto for $3000?) is just plain weird. Tiled countertops almost equally so. Check out Apartment Therapy for lots of before-and-afters ranging from hundreds to thousands $.

Btw, I just got an entirely new bath done for $12k.

Yes, pics would be helpful. I’m going to retile a bathroom over the old tile. As long as they are all flat and not cracking, it’ll work fine with the right thinset mortar.
