Basic hardscape/landscape job for brownstone backyard
We completed a thorough renovation of our Clinton Hill home a couple of years ago and we’re finally getting around to addressing the lovely if overgrown yard space, a standard 60 x 40 brownstone backyard.
We really are looking for mostly hardscape; no grass or artificial grass. We’d like to leave some space to plant around the perimeter (requiring edging) and a planting/hardscaped mixed area in the back, but we’ll mostly select plants ourselves. We are on a tight budget here, though we are well aware of what is involved and the associated cost of any such work involving home and grounds, We’d like to use mostly gravel (though there are many permutations of even that material) and some pavers. We’re looking for someone competent to install the hardscape rather than a landscape architect or horticulturalist.
We’d love to get this done in the fall, if at all possible. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone to do a small job like this? Thanks for any information you can provide!
