Artificial grass
We’re looking to have dog-friendly artificial grass installed in our backyard. Couple of questions for people who’ve done it / know about these things:
The area is currently just bare, uneven earth + some debris. Do we need to get a landscaper to clear and grade the area, and then bring in the grass company ourselves to do the installation, or will the grass company take care of prep work too? (Or alternatively: does anyone know a landscaping company in Brooklyn that will handle the whole job from start to finish?)
And anyone have a recommendation for a company that makes super realistic and pet-friendly artificial grass? There seem to be several around, but very difficult to tell online who makes the best.
Thanks!

I dedicated a small area of artificial grass for the dog’s potty use only (6′ x 3′). Before this the entire yard smelled of urine because the dogs urinated everywhere. You may want to do the same and train the dog to use the same spot every time. When this small area gets a bit smelly, I just flushed it with water and baking soda. I bought the artificial grass 2nd hand from someone with remnants left over from a bigger project.
