Appliance removal for storage

Hello brownstoners.

We are in the midst of selling our house and as part of the sale, we are able to take all the appliances and fixtures in the house with us. We did a serious renovation when we first bought our place so we took a lot of time and care in choosing what we installed and some things were custom made.

We need to have the appliances and fixtures removed with care and packed up and protected to put into storage until we buy a new place. The things to be removed include: stove, vent, dishwasher, deep sink, custom bathroom vanity, claw foot tub, pendant lights, etc. Ideally the same folks could then pack it up in a way to protect it when it is moved. If they would move it to the storage place as well that would be great.

I’m not sure who to contact to do this sort of thing: a contractor? A moving company? Has anyone had to do this before and if so who did you use? Recommendations would be much appreciated.
