Advice on removing cig smell from lobby area
We live in a multifamily unit and this is the first time we have a tenant that smokes. We thought it would be ok as long as he doesnt smoke inside the apartment. Guess we were wrong that the smoke smells travels. Even though he smokes 10 ft away from the main entrance, we are starting to smell it in the lobby area. Anyone know of a good way to eliminate the smell? Figured if I put some odor eliminator or do people install vent in the front lobby? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

His clothing and his hair, etc. likely stink from the smoke. Also, unless he stands downwind of the entrance, the smoke will penetrate the building. 10 feet is too little separation; many buildings have a 25 foot restriction.

Tell him what? hes not smoking inside.. I confirmed that hes smoking 10 ft from the front door. My guess is maybe the smoke is going into his clothes and when he walks back in.. it stays in that dead air space lobby.
