Advice for dealing with development on adjacent property
The two houses to the left of my property were just sold to be torn down with a new building to go up. The developers were interested in my property as well, but the numbers didn’t work for me and I don’t particularly want to move. (I never spoke to the developer directly–my neighbor, whom I’m buddies with, relayed the info.) I have two questions:
1. Are there any preparations etc. I should make, legal or otherwise, in anticipation of a big project going on next door?
2. I have an alley that separates me from the purchased lots. (The alley is my property). I suppose that 4-foot wide alley could be very useful to them as they put up the property. If they want to use it, should I charge them and what should that be? (This is in Greenwood Heights, the new property has about 8000 sq. ft FAR. The alley is where I keep garbage and recycling etc.)
