AC window unit rental / install company

With this current “heat wave” we’re getting a taste, for the first time, what our home will feel like in the summer heat without any AC. Our hope / plan is to renovate in the next two years and put central AC in, so we don’t really want to invest in numerous high-quality window units and deal with installation and storage, so ideally would like a service provider that we can rent from to install units for the season and then take them away. Does anyone have a good recommendation for someone local?

If you are who i think you are, you realize if those window units had been in your house the day i did that home inspection for you, they would be in already for the cost of an hour of my labor.

These things are so cheap now you might just buy a few and put them in yourself. This is so diy now. I think we know each other so if you email me with questions, i will answer. You can call me.

The only comment i do have is that the cheaper ones can be noisy. Some people sleep ok with that, some don’t.

We have smaller units in the bedrooms and a big through wall here. Last night it was hot in here and i did not want to turn the big through wall on so i turned a smaller bedroom unit on and that cold air is just enough to flow down to the first floor. That would not work if we had a house full of people over.
