A Glowing Review for a Highly Skilled Mason and Craftsman

My wife and I are sharing a review for, and our experience with, the best contractor we have worked with to-date, Anthony Bauer.

Anthony is a licensed mason — he is also an artist and craftsman. In our year of working with him, he was consistently detail-oriented, and we completely trusted him to complete each stage of the project to perfection.

The scope of our project included a small rear extension (exterior and interior) and the full hardscaping of a 100 foot yard, including a bluestone patio, turf, custom brick planters, a circular deck and gravel fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen.

There is nothing this man cannot do. Notably, he perfectly matched the brick on our new extension to 100 year old brick on the house, and then went the extra mile to also match small cosmetic details, like the brick arches over the windows. When we realized his extensive skills, we also asked him to custom-build black-stained ash interior cabinetry for the extension, and he nailed it.

Anthony showed up every morning at 7am sharp. He works by himself and is on the jobsite every day. He brings along a few helpers who learn immensely from him. He listens, ask questions, and is patient and humble.

Moving forward, we will use Anthony for every job, interior and exterior, because we trust him to execute flawlessly and figure out any challenge, and also because working with him is a pleasure.

We are lucky to have found him, thanks to the extensive positive reviews on Brownstoner, so here is one more.

Anthony is great. He’s done a few projects here at my home from interior carpentry to Masonary work outside. He’s honest, knows his stuff and consistently does great work. He’s become my go to for any project here at home.
