Seeking to purchase topsoil

I need 18 cubic yards of topsoil to replace existing topsoil in my backyard as it is contaminated with heavy metals. Anyone have a good source for topsoil? thanks- Brian

Make sure that the source is “certified clean” for unrestricted residential use.  You should have at least one foot of clean soil to cover the remnants of your existing backyard soil.  You can check Table 375-6.8(b): Restricted Use Soil Cleanup Objectives on this link http://www.dec.ny.gov/regs/15507.html. (scroll down towards the second half to find it) for the proper values.  It’s not unusual to find people will to sell soils from questionable sources.  A large landscaper should be able to help you.  They will also have the proper paperwork to show that the topsoil is clean.
