Where can I buy a NEW mattress...cash and carry?

 Thanks all for your informative discussion about matterss buying place. I have found dooleysfurniture for white furniture and mattress last week. There are a lot of mattress collection for you. Ikea is also a good option for mattress.

Hi all, Looking for recommendations on a place we can purchase and walk away with a mattress in Brooklyn?  Have friends who have suffered from the storm and will be staying with us so I need to buy a mattress after work today. Thank you.

Why not try an air mattress? They’re quite comfortable and a whole lot easier to carry than a regular mattress. In Brooklyn Models and Sears should have them (in their sporting goods departments).

Ikea is great.  Their foam ones (the only kind I’ve bought) come rolled up and are quite easy to transport – they have different models in different thicknesses.  The one I bought years ago (that model discontinued) is quite comfortable and much appreciated by my guests.  Much more comfortable than an air mattress.

There are several stores on Fulton Street around Bedford Avenue with mattresses for about $150 for a queen, $120 for a full.
