New Foam/Stuffing For My Couch Cushions; and Cleaning The Fabric of Said Cushions?

OK, having exhausted every other avenue of research:  I am looking to replace the foam or “stuffing” in the cushions of my couch cushions.  I’m also looking to get these cushions cleaned.  Where in our fair borough can I turn for these services/wares…

My wife is an interior designer and she swears by Academy Upholstery. Talk to Gina or Peter. They will supply any foam you like depending on the desired firmness. Very professional. Sorry I don’t have their number handy.

The store on the corner of 15th and 5th has done a good job for me both cutting new foam and creating new covers.

Just for the covers with foam removed, you can try a drycleaner.  If you can’t find one you trust, you can try Meurice.  Second, for the cushions its quite easy.  You take the bare cushions to either Canal Rubber http://www.canalrubber.com/ or Economy Foam on Houston – they’ll make sure to cut you a piece of furniture grade (i.e. dense) foam plus probabaly wrap it a couple times with poly fill (i.e. however it was done originally).  If you like to do these things online, you’ll need to make a choice as to what kind of foam you would choose http://www.foambymail.com/foam-types-for-seats-and-cushions.html and trust things would come out OK by mail.     If you don’t want to DIY it, i’d just contact an interior designer or someone like www.modrestoration.com
