urgent need for gas heating furnace repair

Presently out of town on vacation, and received a call form my tenant last night informing me that her CO detector went off.  The fire department came & shut off the gas heating furnace. Looking for recommendations for an expert who can ASAP inspect/repair the furnace, located in my Carroll Gardens townhouse. Thanks in advance for the help!   BW

I live in Carroll Gardens, too, and I just had the horrible experience of having my boiler die when it hit 30 degrees.  I used Sallustio & Son at 417 Court street (718 858-9080).  I cannot recommend them more highly.  John, the owner whose been doing this for decades, treated me like a family member, and he and his team did a masterful job of taking on an incredibly tough job (my boiler was cramped in tiny room with rotting pipes).  Even though he did extra work, he didn’t charge me more than the estimate, and he even gave me a free used radiator which is practically new.  Not only that, but he even treated a dripping issue coming from my neighbor’s boiler on Christmas eve.  If you use him, tell him that Steve on Smith street sent you.

Is this a furnace as in heat using ducts, or a boiler which heats with radiators?
