For Sale: Elfa shelf components to make up the configuration in the picture. The shelves are melamine in the “driftwood” color; the rails and brackets are “platinum.” (See www.containerstore.com/shop/elfa/components This configuration includes: 6 25″x12″ shelves 2 30″x12″ shelves 1 80″ top track 4 60″ easy-hang standards 12 10.5″ solid shelf brackets 12 galvanized solid shelf connectors 4 plastic independent shelf pins (these attach the floating shelves to the brackets; you will need 4 more because some of ours are missing. They are approx $3.99 for 8.) We also have some top track cover in Platinum, but it won’t be enough to cover all of the top track. It costs about $2.99 for 48″.) All of these components would cost close to $270 (plus tax) if bought from the Container Store in Manhattan. What’s not included: Fasteners to attach the whole thing to the wall. These are also available at the Container store and depend on what your walls are made of. The Drywall and Plaster Anchors are $5.99 for 5. Elfa is great looking and is very easy to install: All you do is attach the top track to the wall and then hang the standards from it. The shelves hold a TON of weight (we have a large system in our home office and it is loaded down with hundreds of pounds of textbooks and magazines in boxes. You do not need to attach it to studs (but you can if you want to, and if the studs are under where the holes in the top track are–this is a different fastener which is also available at the Container Store.
