Public records of neighborhood fires?

I have witnessed one fire and heard of another on my block in the past ten years. Is there a public record of fires available? I see that the FDNY has a request form for specific properties but I am interested in the complete history of fires on the block. Thanks!

For past ten years that info would be hard to get. Requests are usually in the form of address and date of occurance. Call FDNY headquaters and ask for “Fire Reports”.

Great question qbert and, inronically, I was wondering the exact same thing the other day. I wanted to know if there was ever a fire in my house in its history. I suspect there may be a request system, but I would wonder if they could provide this info all the way back to the day the house was built. Would love to hear anyone’s answer on this. Any firemen on here?
