Affordable Wooden Fence Installer Recs?

I’m looking to rip out our current chain link fence on two sides of our property (front and one side). The back of the property already has a picket privacy fence and the other side is my neighbor’s. I’d like to replace the chain link with white low wooden pickets along the front and a matching picket privacy fence along the side. The quotes I’ve received so far have been outrageous and people are pushing for vinyl, which I do not care to use. I’d love recommendations for affordable fence contractors. We’d be open to doing all or some of the work ourselves too, but we also don’t want to bite off more than we can chew. It would be great to get the new fence in before the ground freezes later this fall. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You may want to consider keeping the poles from the chain link fence in place and hanging the wooden fence from them. Home Depot sells clips made especially for this purpose and the results can be quite nice. If you already have galvanized poles cemented into a curb it makes it very easy. One good thing is that the support structure will never deteriorate. If the wooden fencing deteriorates after a while you can just hang new wood. I realize this doesn’t answer your question but it could help bring the price of the project down.

I used Fence Plaza of Brooklyn this past summer to remove a chain link fence and install a double sided cedar fence manufactured by Interstate Visions. The pricing was very reasonable and the fence looks great. They also did a good job cleaning up after they finished. Speak to George.
