Hello – I am looking for thoughts on the difference in durability, appearance and ease of maintenance among hardiplank and clapboard.  We had been looking at brownstones for a while and we never paid attention to the difference between a clapboard facade and one that is a hardiplank.  Thanks in advance

I’ve done 2 homes in Hardiboard.  I love it.  It’ll last forever. Yes, the look is a bit more “crisp” at the edges than clapboard but it really can’t be beat.  I think you can get it pre-primed from the factory now.
