Steps repair, front yard landscaping

I need to fix one of my front steps where the brownstone has almost completely crumbled away, and if i end up fixing all the cracks in the stoop and figured it might be worthwhile to tackle the small front yard/cement patch in front of my Crown Heights townhouse at the same time, maybe putting in some plantings and finding a solution for my garbage cans. Anyone have a recommendation for the brownstone work, and potentially someone who could help me “design” the front space?
