Pocket Door Hardware / Latch

I have a pocket door to my powder room with the very standard latch pictured here – which is very unreliable in a household with a toddler. Does anyone have suggestions or sources for a better piece of hardware? I _could_ dummy up a slide bolt or even hook and eye but am hoping for a more sophisticated solution. Thanks in advance.

I just ordered a sliding door latch from Sugatsune – simple and relatively unobtrusive.  It just arrived yesterday so I haven’t installed it yet, but it’s flush mounted so seems simple enough.
