Cost To Install A Wood Door With Jamb

Can someone tell me about what it costs approximately for installation of a door and door jamb. I was recently given a quote, after the contractor took a very, very long time to get back to me, and was wondering what other people have paid. Thanks.

While more detail is needed e.g. inside or outside door, is removing and disposing of an existing door part of the job, wood frame opening or masonry, trim to be removed and replaced on both sides… etc etc. unless there is something complicated or time consuming about the project, one days labor plus related material should do it. If the guy doing the work is good, it will and should cost more. If you save a few bucks and someone hacks it up, well I’m not gonna finish that sentence.
