Contractor or handyman for closet door fix?

I live in a new construction building (4 yrs old). Many people in the building have been having trouble with the closet doors. The general thought is the the doors are too heavy for the hinges that were used…so they start to scrape the floor. I have had 2 handymen come in to give a quote and recommendation on how to fix. They both think the doors should come off and the bottoms sanded – one said he thinks the floors are uneven. I am doubtful about the floors and would prefer a solution that reinforces the hinges somehow. Want a professional, permanent fix. Also need someone who carries insurance, per building management requirements. I am wondering if this job is better suited to a contractor? Thoughts? Recommendations for someone reliable, affordable and professional? and reachable by email or text (difficult for me to make calls during workweek)

If they did at the beginning open and close smoothly without dragging it does sound like a hinge balancing issue. Which will probably involve a stronger support (door frame) to hold longer screws to anchor the larger hinges and the weight of the doors. If you are in Brooklyn call Patrick De Verteuil 718-309-3934
