I am combining two adjoining apartments. I plan to do this by cutting a doorway through a non-load bearing wall and then building a wall through those two rooms to create a hallway. I am also removing non-load bearing walls in the kitchen. Outside of capping a gas line and some light electrical, I’m not doing much else. Do I need an Alt 2 permit?

Are you planning on using the 2 apartments as one apartment? If you change the use or occupancy you;ll need an alt1.
