Installing a door to outdoor balcony

Hi, I am looking for a recommendation for someone who can install a door. We have a third floor metal balcony with a spiral staircase going down to the parlor floor deck. We want to install a door leading out to the balcony – there is currently a window there now. Can anyone recommend someone who is good and affordable to do such a job? Thanks.

You may want to consult with an architect or PE before removing your window and replacing it with a door.  There’s a good chance you’ll need a permit and plan filing for the work.  If your home is in a landmark district then you’ll also need a C of A or CNE from  the Landmarks people as well.
