self leveling cement floor

Sorry I don’t have more specific knowledge, but I can caution you on one factor. The fact that you are seeking self levelling leads me to bellieve that you have an out of level situation. Depending on the tilt, your correction to level may vary from zero to quite a bit – a few inches. Because of the height where the correction is greatest, you may logically seek to minimize your correction, which will reduce the thickness at the thinnest point. Thin self leveling cement is prone to cracking, so you must go from thick to really thick. We prefer to correct the slope in the floor, and work level above the correction, with Hardibacker and tile etc.

Does anyone know the difference between the various self leveling cements? I want to finish my bathroom floor with cement and have an epoxy white finish. Ardex, CMP specialty products , Paraam were the products suggested. Any major differences I should be aware of?
