Possible to Convert this layout to 2-BR?

I’ve attached a floorplan to this post, is it possible to convert (I assume it would have to be) the living room space into a second bedroom while still retaining some sort of usable living room space? The only thought I’ve had is putting up a wall/sliding door of sort that essentially cuts it in 2, but with the wall of built-ins it seems to me that what would become the interior living room space would be essentially useless. Or is there another option that I can’t think of?

hanks ilovestoops, I appreciate the time you put into the reply, and the creativity. Unfortunately the new room space would only be 6×7, I’ve spoken with a few other people and everyone universally is telling me there’s no way to make it functional. Oh well, on to trying to find a 2 bedroom…

It’s not an easy layout to convert to 2 BR’s – you’ll definitely degrade the functionality of the living room, and kitchen also if modified as I’ve shown. Attached layout assumes wall bet LR & KIT isn’t structural. Put fridge on wall in dining area and convert built-in cabinets to “rolling” cabinet by adding casters. It can then be put anywhere and used for counter space as a kit island, as needed. 3 positions shown. Creates a tiny BR with room for daybed. This also illustrates one of the many methods I utilize to avoid doing real work.
