Permit Filing times impacted by Sandy?

We are about to start a major renovation in Brooklyn on a townhouse and will be filing permits this month. I was wondering whether all of the destruction during Sandy and needed renovations for those impacted has affected the timing of permit approval with the DOB. Obviously those homes probably have priority.

I have not noticed it being delayed much.  The problem is DOB keeps moving examiners to the HUB.  DOB after the storm said they were backed up 5 weeks.
