Licensed Mason

I am looking for a mason who can pull a permit (plans are approved) and install a small steel beam (its already been engineered) in a 5-story exterior brick wall. Looking for someone insured and good. Recommendations are much appreciated. Thanks!

There are in fact various masons in the area who are registered with the DOB as GCs and many active in Ft. Greene.  Wherever you see scaffold and masonry work being performed, you should see necessary permits posted as well.  I chose my mason because 8 of my immediate neighbors hired him, and I was able to watch his crew closely over the years.  Take a walk around your neighborhood, see who is actively working and talk to your neighbors about their experiences with the mason they chose. Another route is to talk to an ironworker outfit who has a relationship with a mason.

You are most likely find that you will need to find a general contractor to pull the permit.  I doubt you will find a mason that has the proper license to pull a permit.
