Architect/Structural Engineer to rebuild garage

Thank you so much for your recommendation Curated! I called Jock this past Wednesday night and had a great conversation with him. We set up an appointment for this past Friday at 2pm (yesterday). We were excited to meet him. I called him on Thursday morning to confirm. When he still hadn’t arrived or called by 2:30pm, I left him a message to touch base, as I assumed he was just running late. He never showed up or called. Nothing. Pretty disappointing and unprofessional, I must say. Our search continues.

Hello! Let me preface this by letting you know I’m a newbie around here! We recently purchased a historic home in the Stapleton Heights historic district on Staten Island. We have a garage that is dilapidated and stone retaining walls that need to be rebuilt. We understand that we will need to have either a structural engineer or architect to draw up the plan. We also have bluestone steps that will need to be repositioned to code in the front. Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced architect/structural engineer who has experience with historic preservation? Also, any good construction company and masonry recommendations? Thank you!
