Waterproofing basement

We finally need to fix our leaky basement.  It’s been too long.  We got an estimate from Mid-Atlantic, but they seemed very determined AND pretty defensive about their pricing. Is there anyone out there with experience dealing with them? Did they do a good job?  Any other companies doing the same work? Thanks!!

I second George Haliotis. They are are full-service GC so they might give you a somewhat higher quote, but you can be sure it will include aspects to the job that you and others might not have considered.  For both jobs they dug a trench at the foundation wall, sealed all joints and removed protruding stones, and applied a coating called 1K by Aquafin.  Then filled back in.  Contact GeorgioHaliotis at 917.589.4208

we had issues with water seeping into the basement and decided to do exterior waterproofing.  we actually had mid-atlantic come give us an estimate and they suggested the french drain.  they were very pushy and actually offensive.  anyhow we ended up going with george haliotis (olympian builers).  they just finished the waterproofing this week and did an amazing job.  we were very happy with his work.  you can reach george at 917-589-4208. also we will be posting some pics once they’re done cleaning the backyard and finishing some additional work we hired them for.  check out our blog at http://mybrooklynstory.wordpress.com

I had a French Drain put in and the basement sealed by Gerrard at Brooklyn Artisan. The basement is now dry and their service was quite good. They can be reached at info@brooklynartisan.com
