Structural Engineer Recs for Cellar Dig

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone who has lowered the floor of their basement/cellar has recommendations for architects and/or engineers to handle the job. We started working with an engineering firm, but they never get back to us and are outside of NYC so every site visit was extremely expensive and we never even made it to getting plans. We’d love to restart the process with someone more local who has done similar projects. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Ron DiDonno. He knows brownstones and oversaw our dig out (and other projects). He and his wife have their own company and cover both architect and engineer work and seemed to know the permitting process well.
