Help with Mold Removal

In the continuing saga of our basement water issues, we are starting to see mold on some of the walls and want to get it removed ASAP, basically planning on removing the entire front wall of drywall.  Can anyone recommend a person/company who has experience in proper mold removal/disposal?   Thank you.

I definitely feel your pain. Its true though, if the underlying water problem is not resolved, you will be throwing money away on a mold removal contractor because the mold will eventually return. Depending the source of the problem, you could correct the water issue, or see if the contractor can do it. According to the EPA, if the mold area is less than 10 sf, you can do it yourself, unless you are extremely sensitive to it. I highly recommend Anthony Ortega (551-655-0415). He can diagnose your problem and completely remediate the situation. Anthony has done many jobs for me over the last several months … from bathroom shower doors to replacing water damaged door frames to installing a garden sprinkler system to … well just about anything! When he resealed my shower door, he discovered a mold problem that was hidden and completely resolved the issue. Anthony is very creative, extremely knowledgable and his work is impeccable. When we discovered the mold problem I went to Lowes and bought one of those home testing kits.  Within a day the kit showed positive for all types of mold.  I honestly just decided to clean it myself.  I got proper equipment to prevent coming in contact with the mold (goggles, gloves, mask, etc).  And cut the sheetrock 3 feet from the ground.  Disposed it in industrial garbage bags.  I had a dehumidiifer running while doing the work.  I conducted a few more tests days after removal.  The tests showed signs of mold 4-5 days after it was covered.  There will always be a small amount of mold in the area but nothing like it was when I first discovered it.  We’re actually in the process of waterproofing our cellar from the exterior and getting some air circulation to eliminate future mold breakouts.
