Our 6 month old son is getting more and more mobile by the minute and we’re in baby-proofing mode. We have a tv stand with open cubbies and want to add doors to at least one of the cubbies so we can hide all wires and cords away from the baby. If we can get a piece of wood cut to the right size, we can do the rest….does anyone have a small home workshop set up where we can bring you a piece of wood and get it cut down to the desired size for a small cost? or can anyone recommend a place that would do this?

Home depot cuts wood, and i think sell smaller sheets.  If you have a couple cuts they might charge you a buck or something, just call ahead to ask if the panel saw is working (they use it so much sometimes it is broken).     Also, if you get chipboard (that stuff that’s between cardboard and wood, usually like the back of a bookcase) you could probably cut it with a razor, trace out the opening in case its not perfectly square or needs and odd notch here or there.
