Need a good carpenter

The guy priced the job too low. He got a better paying job and now he vanished. Good place to source guys would be your local lumber yard. I would suggest looking for a guy with his NYC Home Improvement License. Those of us who are licensed cant run off on the job. I use this board, word of mouth and my suppliers to source the talent. -e

So I am going through a renovation process and just like everybody I know came across major bump on the road. We didnt want to use a contractor, instead we hired specialists to do specific job. Basically took the roll of a “contractor” upon ourselves. This haven’t been easy, so I do have to give them credit for their organization skills, but I wouldn’t do it any other way. We had all things going very smoothly, Thanks to this forum I found couple of very credible specialists that I will dedicating separate review for their amazing and prompt work. We also had found one carpenter that have been working on my ceilings and walls for over a month and he did a good job. However, after he got his another paycheck, he just disappeared. And now I am stuck with unfinished job that set me back two weeks and I can’t move forward without this part to be finished. Another problem, I need to move in in one or max two weeks and I just can’t seem to find a reliable and good working individual or individuals who would take this job now and finish it on time. Any any of you are familiar with this kind of situation and have someone who I can rely on, who also wouldn’t cost a fortune (to take advantage of my situation), please share. I would appreciate it. This forum has been a tremendous help already, I hope this won’t be an exception. Thanks
