Can someone please help me.  I need a reasonable plasterer for a ceiling that has been damaged by a water leak.  It has a temporary fix, but it won’t last long.  I am the homeowner.  There are two parts that have to be redone right away. I am afraid that the beautiful molding will crumble and fall.  I love victorian houses they are difficult to maintain, but the majesty of the crattsmanship is what drives me.  Thank You for your help!

I recently renovated a brownstone and restored the plaster ceilings on 5 floors–my plaster redid mouldings, created new ones and was even able to replace missing parts of the “wedding cake” design on the parlor walls. Call Fitz 917-412-5593.  Not cheap–stay on him to come–get everything you want in the original price.  His guys do great work.  As a temporary solution, try using very long sheet rock screws with a washer on the end to hold up what you have.   Your may take it down anyhow and redo the entire damaged run.  Predrill a hole in the plaster before putting in the screws and try to catch the wood lathe in the ceiling. a
