Does a rear extension of a townhouse cause move from Alt-2 to Alt-1?
Receiving some conflicting information, thus the question. Does the following situation sound like an Alt 1 or Alt 2? – Single family C of O, currently configured and used as single family, 4 storey brownstone – Assuming no change to C of O (existing single family) – Only structural change being a rear extension of ~10′ to the 30′ rear yard setback line – Significant / gut interior renovation

Jim is absolutely right, but I am wondering why you’d ask this on Brownstone. a) this info is few clicks away on DOB’s website and b) Don’t you have an architect and an expediter??; these are the people who should lift all the weight from your shoulders 🙂 Don’t tell us you are trying to do a major surgery with a jigsaw….
