Can I make my garage wider and add a floor?

Hey everyone, I’ve been fantasizing about the idea of making my garage bigger by adding one story and making it wider. My current situation is a semi detached house that is 18×51 on a 30×100 lot with detached garage in the back and driveway on the side of my house that leads to it. I see that the zoning is R6 and that’s for medium density. The current FAR is 0.58 with max FAR being 2.43\. The garage is maybe about 20-22 x18 and I want to bring it to 30 x 18 and add an additional floor for more storage and to just kick back and relax, maybe even workout. Don’t plan on having anything more than what’s in there now, so not looking to add plumbing. Is something like this possible, and if so what would be my first step. Any advice given is appreciated. Thanks. Not sure if this is important or not but on DOB my house and garage are listed separately.

It would depend upon the zoning and exactly where the garage sits, but it sounds like larger is possible but not another floor.
