Replace front door

Hello, We are about to close on a brownstone in a historic district. Amongst a slew of interior renovations, we need to replace the original front door because it is shot. We want to replicate the front door with a new one. Question: Where/who can I have custom make a door to replicate the existing door? (We are aware that we will need landmarks approval, that is not what this questions is about)

Sorry I missed this last week when you posted. Please DON’T use Heights Woodworking on 9th Street. Although we’d used Heights Woodworking 10 years ago on a simple single pane french door project, Heights Woodworking was a nightmare for us this time. We spent a HUGE amount of money (like a car loan amount) for a pair of interior doors, we sent architects drawings, molding samples, photographs and measurements. It was hard to get the attention of the main crafstman or owner, but they finally arrived, looked at the project then left. They proceeded to deliver doors that didn’t fit the woodwork they HAD MADE IN THEIR OWN WORKSHOP, the doors were 1/2″ thinner than the thickness we had specified. Additionally, the woodwork wasn’t complete, which they discoverd on-site, and they attempted to HAND CARVE a continuation of a curve which ended up looking horrible. Apparently, their original measurements were incorrect and they tried to cover up. They claimed they would repair plaster/sheetrock around the opening which remains half done and terrible. We gave them payments on time, as requested and for the full amount and never should have done so. I received 5 or 6 versions of invoices from them, each of them with a different bottom-line, as if they were made up from thin air when the office staff couldn’t find the version they had provided the week before. I must say I have never been as disappointed in a contractor I’d used previously. The project was barely supervised and hugely over-priced for the result we were delivered. I suspect they were farming the work out to other shops, without supervision, because they were busy with a huge order from Dykes. They have a beautiful workshop, but beware.
