Recommendations for pre move in / post construction cleaning services?
I think they are both different, the regular housemaid services is just to clean the house like maybe weekly or fortnightly. They do not expect to have a big post construction mess to clean. But I think some regular cleaning services also offers that. But I suggest to checkout the professional post construction cleaning services first and get a quote and ask questions. Just about every cleaning company offers this. It’s usually just a little more expensive per hour than their regular service. (Can’t remember but $60 per person per hour instead of $50 or something like that.) I did it once (after only a minor project but we had an infant). They were extra careful and wiped dust with damp cloths, etc. Some outfits have tools to clean dust off high surfaces such as crown moldings. I have also heard of companies that do only this, clean-out, and hauling/dump disposal. Guessing some of the post-reconstruction companies (fire, soot, crime, flooding, etc.) might have even more thorough and well trained people with great equipment but probably cost a lot more too.

I have often used The Maids. The office on Brooklyn Ave in Crown Heights, for after renovation housekeeping cleaning. Very efficient, reliable, excellent job etc. Just Google them, all their contact info shows up. The Maids.

They might be able to do it faster because they can provide more manpowe. But in terms of quality there shouldn’t be a difference to thorough regular cleaning personnel

I think they are both different, the regular housemaid services is just to clean the house like maybe weekly or fortnightly. They do not expect to have a big post construction mess to clean. But I think some regular cleaning services also offers that. But I suggest to checkout the professional post construction cleaning services first and get a quote and ask questions.
