I am looking to re-create cast iron posts and railing on my stoop, based on the 1940s municipal photo. I am looking for recommendations for contractors for this function, and also would like to ask if there are alternate, less expensive materials that yield a similar aesthetic and durability outcome (perhaps fiberglass?)

Most iron workers have a supply of the most frequently used designs. I have used Bay Ride Iron workers and Vinnie’s for window bars and a stoop security gate and had very positive experiences. I dream of when we can replace our entire railing and front fence!

We used an amazing mason, Anthony the mason, 347 307 4725\. he made our iron posts and railings like new.. keeping the old school look. His prices are quite reasonable and he is very talented. Please do contact him.. you will not be dissappointed
