Nest protect up to code in NYC?
We install Nest Protects on almost all projects and have never had an issue with inspections, CO’s etc. http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/curated

Hi, We are installing a new fire/CO system (hardwired) and wanted to go with the Nest system but were told it might not meet NYC fire code. Anyone know if this is true (or false?) Thanks!

AFAIK yes. The requirements can be confusing and hard to find, some in building code some in HPD. Smoke Alarm: must comply with UL 217 (Nest complies) CO detector: must be UL 2034 approved (Nest complies) https://support.nest.com/article/How-was-Nest-Protect-certified
