Moving Time Warner/Optimum/Verizon Cables Underground in Garden
As part of our renovation, we would like to move of all the unsightly Time Warner/Optimum/Verizon cables underground, preferably in a conduit. Ideally, we would do this together with all the neighbors on our block. However, we are having no luck contacting Optimum and Verizon. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks.

Start banging your head against brick wall now. Even IF you accomplish your wish now, the morons in the future will just string another line in the air… again & again & again….

Are you talking about the wires that run along your house or the wires that run from your house to the telephone poles connecting all the houses together?

Try carlos.m.del.rosario.santana@verizon.com He’s a nice guy who is community liaison for Verizon.

The companies themselves won’t do it. The only thing you could do is run some pvc conduit (1.5 inch would be more than enough) from the back of your yard to your cellar/basement or you could just run it to the back of your house where the connection is now. Than it’s just a matter of disconnecting the cables from the back of the house and running them into the pipe. If the cable is to short you can then call them and get them to run a new cable.
