lead paint removal

I would not suggest messing with lead paint unless you are certified and using a certified product approved for lead removal. Even though lots of people do not believe or like to think that lead is not bad, it can be. I do a lot of construction renovation and my favorite line of products for lead removal is the Dustless Technologies HEPA vacs. I know you are an indicidual so you may not plan on making this sort of purchase, but you really need to hire an approved contractor. Just my two cents.

has anyone used soy gel or lead out to remove paint which may contain lead?  If so, how did it work and what was the results.  Is it difficult to use etc. thanks t

Led paint removal has to be done by licenced enviromental contractor with tests done and so on. there certain limitations on what you can do yourself. Fines are steep

An owner can do lead paint removal without a license.  A contractor needs a special certification now for lead paint removal. What are the limitations gennady?

“May contain lead”   Why not get it tested?   Gennady the PDF gives good advice on paint removal techniques to prevent lead dust from contaminating the home area but does not say a licensed environmental contractor is required, except in the case where a government agency (HPD, DOB, Child services, Health Dept)  is requiring the testing and abatement.

take the courses, register with EPA, buy the HEPA vac, buy the other materials and follow the procedures – under $1500 and your time. You will know the job is done right because it is your family.
