Bilco Door for outside cellar entrance

Please take this with a grain of salt, because I don’t have any real frame of reference as I only have experience with a Mann Product hatch that I inherited when I purchased my house.  With that said, the hatch that I have is made of a thin gauge steel, and I have been battling rust issues since I moved in.  Mostly the rust is centered around the edges and hinges, but, enough to make me wish that I had a different hatch.  Maybe it wasn’t properly primed or painted originally, and maybe they have a thicker gauge option.  I figured I would share my experience.

I want to secure all the entrances to my cellar and I’m looking to have a, simple, single bilco door installed over the entrance from the backyard. Does anyone know how much this should cost me? Many thanks, this forum has already really helped out a ton.

Mann is the way  to go.. my cost was 700, but that was 5 yrs ago
