Boiler Rec

Looking for rec for a steam boiler re-piping in Bellerose, Queens. I have to drain/refill the boiler every month or so b/c the knocking is so bad. had one gentleman come in, now looking for 2-3 more prices. Thanks.

its a boiler for steam the boiler should only be the item refilled not the pipes…are all the rads bleeding steam when they heat and as for the knocking it’s the cooled off steam into hight temp water trying to drain back down that one pipe back to the boiler….take a liquid level on top of each rad ….tilt the rad 1/2″ towards that single pipe supply to each..if hte wall behind the rad is cold slip some 1/4″ styrafoam insulation sheets behind them HD/LOWES.your boiler should never be full of water between 1/2 to 3/4

When get contractor for boiler repair and repiping, make sure to pick the cheapest one. Also, 2-3 prices are not good enough. Get Yellow pages and go from a to z. you will fiind one for sure.
