Stair Contractor?
I also had a great experience with Soxco and recommend them hands down. Antoon is a master and his crew were a pleasure to have working in my home.

I need a stair contractor for condo combination project. Have had little luck getting any kind of reply – anyone have suggestions here. Also – anyone with expertise here know cost differential of building and installing a central steel tube stringer vs conventional open box double wood stringer?

Hello, If you live in a brownstone, a ballpark estimate for a center stringer steel stair may run between 25-45K, you’ll most likely have to reinforce the floor with steel beams at the top and bottom. A double wood stringer stair may run between 10-20K and may require sistering joist at the top and bottom. There would also be other cost involved, filing, GC, professional services. I can recommend some GC’s for the job. Garner Oh, RA goh@0-to-1.com www.0-to-1.com

Soxco Stairs just finished our staircases. If you are restoring a historic home I cannot recommend them highly enough. I believe they advertise here. Hands down the best sub I could recomend in general. PM me if you need more info.
