Reclaimed bowling alley lanes wood for sale - great for counters, table, desk, etc.

http://cdn.brownstoner.com/4f1f7a7a16e4a-.jpg

We recently reclaimed a bunch of old bowling alley lane wood. Lengths vary from 6, 8 or 10′ long and all pieces are approx 3.5′ wide and about 2″ thick.  The lanes had been recently resurfaced before the alley closed so this particular load is in excellent shape- most pieces still have their smooth, glossy surface.  They make amazing, unique tables or counters.   Also, have some smaller 1.5′ x 3.5′ pieces which make great coffee table tops.   Some pieces are heart pine and some are solid maple- we even have a few left with the original lane markings like the arrows or pindeck spots (from where the pins are set up) or dot markings.   Pieces are sold by the piece- we do not cut them down.  Prices start at $300 for a 6′ long pine piece (and up depending on length, wood type and markings).  Email address below for more pricing info or to come see them in person- they can be seen weekdays 4-7pm or anytime on weekends at storage facility in Gowanus, Brooklyn area (next to BQE and Battery Tunnel).   Curbside delivery possible depending on location for additional charge.  More photos available at link below: https://picasaweb.google.com/111856945132467253527/BowlingLaneWood?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCPeT7ZrivOrc6QE&feat=directlink Email for more info at:    brooklynmaterials@gmail.com

Yep- Idlewild Books got the piece for their table from me.  It’s all from the same load of wood, beautiful stuff.

Kinda awesome.  And if you want to see one in action, the brand-new Warren & Court st branch of Idlewild Books has one of these installed as their classroom tabletop.

Holy cow that’s cool!  I have at least two clients I’ll be recommending that for!
