Washer/dryer repair

Any recs for honest and skilled washer/dryer repair in Brooklyn?  I need someone relatively quickly.  We are outside the warranty and service contract period.  Much thanks.

I don’t want to give you bad news but our 1.5 yr old LG washer broke earlier this year. The washer will give a computer error (tE) everytime it would come on. I called 2 appliance repair (even ones recommended by LG) and no luck. The repair person told me the new front loading washers are computerized and not easy to fix compared to the top loading ones. In the end I spent almost $250 on unsuccessful repairs and stopped persuing on trying to fix it since we could buy a new one for $500\. Good luck on this.

I second J&R.     But stay away from sears.  They sold me an extended service contract then when my washer went kablooie they sent a guy out and decided it would be a $400 repair for a $600 washer and it would be cheaper for them to refund my $85 for the contract then fix it.  Untrustworthy.

Call J&R Appliances on 7th Ave in the Slope. They recommended a dishwasher repair guy a year ago who turned out to be very helpful and reasonably affordable.
